Exact match, not perceptual
Ekatva matches on SHA-256 digest only. A re-exported or re-edited version of a shot is a different file and will not be flagged — your edits and originals both stay safe from accidental matching.
Before you scan a client archive
Deletion in Ekatva is immediate and permanent, with no Recycle Bin and no undo. On client archives, review each duplicate group carefully before reclaiming — the verification steps confirm a file is a true duplicate, not that you meant to delete it.
